Bukchodaek House - bukchontaek (北村宅) (1862 sonrası için inşa edilmiş)

Bukchondaek 1862, Yu Doseong, bir hükümet yetkilisi tarafından Kral Cheoljong için ( 1849-1863) 13. yılında inşa edilmiştir. Bu evin Bukchon Köyü (Hahoe kuzey yarısı), diğer yarısı Yangjindang olması evde iki güzel yapılarından biri olarak kabul edilir. Bir iç çeyrek (anchae), bir dış mahalle (sarangchae), bir memur dörtte (haengnangchae) ve Ata türbe (sadangchae) ile komple bir model kârlı konutudur.

Mahalle ortasında yüksek bir kapısı vardır. Kare kat planı aralarında bir avlu ile iç dörtte önünde yer alan dış çeyrek konutlar için tipiktir. Ek bina muhtemelen bir misafirhane olarak kullanılmıştır. Ata türbe, tek katlı kirişler ve bir üçgen çatı özellikleri o dönemin türbelerin tipik ıapısıdır..

Bukchodaek House - 북촌택 (北村宅) (built 1862 onward)

Bukchondaek was built in 1862, the 13th year of King Cheoljong (r. 1849-1863) by Yu Doseong, a government official. This house is considered to be one of the two finest structures in Bukchon village (the northern half of Hahoe), the other being Yangjindang house. Complete with an inner quarters (anchae), an outer quarters (sarangchae), a servants' quarters (haengnangchae) and an ancestral shrine (sadangchae), it is a model yangban residence.

In the middle of the servants' quarters there is a high gate. The square floor plan is typical of such residences with the outer quarters located in front of the inner quarters with a courtyard between them. Judging from the arrangement, the annex building probably functioned as a guest house. The ancestral shrine has single-tiered rafters and a gabled roof—features typical of shrines of that era.
