Dae Insu (대인수) - (Hükümranlığı: 818-830) Balhae Krallığı'nın 10. hükümdarıdır. Krallığın gücünü tekrar doruğuna çıkartmıştır. Bugün Balhae'nin yıkılışından önceki en büyük kralı olarak hatırlanır.
Balhae'nin kurucusu Dae Jo Young'un kardeşi Dae Ya-bal'ın 4. kuşaktan varisidir.Tahta çıkar çıkmaz Kraliyet otoritesini güçlendirmiş ve askeri gücü arttırmıştır. Kral Insu , Balhae'nin topraklarının genişlemesiyle fazlasıyla uğraşıyordu. Kuzeydeki Malgal kabilelerine seferler düzenleyip çoğunu alt etmişti. Güneyde de Sonraki Kokuryo (Kokuryonun yıkılışının ardından hanedan üyelerinin kurduğu direniş krallığı tabiri ile ifade edebileceğimiz bir krallık) Balhae'ye katıldı. Hem ilişkileri güölendirdi hem de ticareti. Bu ticaret Japonya için en önemli ticaret haline gelmiştir. Kral Insu 830'da öldü ve yerine Dae Ijin geçti. Dae Insu was a 4th-generation descendant of Dae Joyeong's younger brother, Dae Ya-bal. In spite of the collateral root, he succeeded to the throne during the years of 817 and 818. He reestablished royal authority, and strengthened the military tremendously. Dae Insu concentrated heavily on the empire's territorial expansion, and led campaigns that resulted in the absorbing of many northern Malgal tribes. southwest Lesser Goguryeo was absorbed into Balhae, also he ordered southward expansion to Silla. During his 12-year reign, he dispatched embassies five times to Japan, which was aimed at establishing diplomatic relations as well as trade routes. The Balhae-Japan trading route across the Sea of Japan (East Sea) became one of the most important trading routes for Japan. He died in 830 and his grandson Dae Ijin succeeded to the throne.
