Sorry if theres been a thread on this before but i've been thinking to myself how it would work and what korean peoples opinions on this would be.



If north korea tomorrow were to collapse what would happen with south korea? Would you fully integreate north korea and form "korea" or would you do it slower and try to rebuild north korea a little bit seperately at first. AFAIK north korea is much poorer than east germany was, so if you were to completely unite in like 1 year there would be a massive influx of north korean immigrants to the south etc. I know its better for them..im not trying to come off as selfish but im just wondering if koreans have a better model for reunification than just that. I think even to this day eastern germany is still poorer and has higher crime rates than western germany.



Shouldn't there be alot of room for "NK" to grow economically? Look at Vietnam and China after they opened up their markets. So would it be better to make North Korea a little bit more autonomous and try to grow their economy first? What would happen if the 2 fully integrated rapidly instead? Would "Koreas" wages go down etc?



Anyways hope this isn't offensive question or anything I'm just curious.
