Ok, I'm flying out of Seoul tomorrow morning, so I'd like to share my impression

of Seoul with you guys.



First and foremost, I like Seoul a lot, I think it's a great and very vibrant city that

you Korean folks should be really proud of and I'm sure you all are. I found

Koreans generally helpful (sometimes a bit too helpful) and well-behaved.



The things I don't like about Seoul are:



(1) People spitting on the streets!! I thought the South Koreans had gotten rid

of that bad habbit ages ago.



(2) Smoking in public restaurants. I know there isn't much you can do about it,

but it'd be nice to outlaw it. It also seems to be something fashionable among

young people. The driver of the first hotel I stayed in was a smoker, he was only

about 25-30 years old, and he was coughing like mad and offering me smokes,

I thought to myself that maybe he wouldn't be coughing like this if he quit

smoking.



(3) Traffic!! There are cars and motorcycles EVERYWHERE including the

pedestrian paths!! Sometimes there are so many cars parked on the pedestrian

path that I had to walk on the main road to get around them. Oh, and there are

so many people riding rather high power motorcycles on pedestrian path! I've

felt very safe in Seoul, but sometimes the motorcycles really creeps me out.



(4) The pedestrain paths need repairing. I stayed in Gangnam and travelled to

quite a few places in Seoul, and the pedestrain paths were generally a bit broken

and uneven, I nearly tripped myself over a few times.



I had a pretty good time in Korea.
