Question about Hangul and Hanja

I've got a question to my Korean colleagues.

Is it possible that Chinese Hanja could be still used in nowadays Korea for some specific purposes (such as wedding, traditional religious rituals, etc)?

I know that Hangul was introduced back in the 15th century by king Sejong the Great and changed Hanja which is not (?) used anymore. However watching some Korean films I noticed that in some specific scenes (which are set in nowadays Korea) you can notice Chinese characters used for some special purposes (e.g. the wedding ceremony scene in Hwal showing girl in a traditional Korean wedding outfit and some characters inscribed on it which look like Chinese). I'm just wondering how (and if) Chinese script could be still used in Korea nowadays. I'd really welcome some info on this.
