Now that the Winter Olympics are taking place in Torino, I'm going to revive the legacy of a prior Olympic Games - the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul. These events took place in 2 main areas of Seoul. I visited the Olympic Stadium 3 years ago. On my second visit to Seoul, I visited Olympic Park in the eastern end of the city.
I lived in the western end of Seoul, so it took quite a while to get to Olympic Park by subway. I had jet lag, so I woke up quite early (it doesn't help when I fall asleep at 7pm). So the commute didn't cut into my day too badly. Walking to the subway station in Hapjeong. Getting my ticket ready for entry. Waiting for the train. Platform screen doors being installed Arrival! The park is a nice mix of Olympic facilities and some rolling hillsides. A lot of people were out for a stroll that morning. Drink break Smile for the camera!
