I've just read this thread about what u think about Germany http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=314210 and I'm curious about what you koreans think about Spain (I'm Spanish).

I've just read things like this in that thread:

"hm.. no way.. China or Spain both are not richer than Canada.. GDP might higer, but things like education, health care, welfare system, GDP per capita and other social indicators cleary state that Canada is more developed than those two countries.. anyway Italy is richer.."

"So you think Spain and China are more developed countries than Canada?"

Do people in South Korea have that opinion about Spain? (if you have an opinion at all) Comparing Spain to China seems to be a little shocking¡¡¡ (I guess like comparing South Korea to Mongolia )

It is a little sad to read that, because today Spain is not poorer than Italy, Germany, United Kingdom or France, and many people (even in Europe) still think that it's an underdeveloped country (I suppose it also happens for South Korea since it was a "poor" country not many decades ago). And in some things Spain is slighty superior than the UK, for instance, the welfare system and the health care comparing to the United Kingdom (many Brit pensioners come to be operated Spain (for free and with better quality than in the UK), taking advantage that they have a second house in Spain and because the freedom of movements that provides the European Union). I usually live in France, and I frequently travel to Italy and Germany and they're are not significantly wealthier or more developed¡¡¡. At least most Japanese don't have that bad opinion of Spain (there are many Japanese tourists in Spain, mainly in Barcelona), and they usually have a very good opinion about Spain. I hope at least you know where Spain is, since many North Americans think it is in South America or its close to Mexico or something like that (because of "Spanish"). In Spain (and France) South Korea is mainly known because of cars (Hyundai, Kia, Ssangyong, Chevrolet-Daewoo) and electronic devices (Samsung, LG). At the moment I'm writing in a Samsung laptop. In these last years the perception of Korean products have heavily changed in Spain, 5 or 6 years ago they were seen as bad and cheap products, but now I think they are quite good (for instance, new Hyundai and Kia models are successful and reliable, and LG is the soldest brand in Spain for air-conditing utilities). But some people still believe that Hyundai or LG are Chinese brands¡
